Lukaku Hails “Chance of a Lifetime”

INTERNATIONAL: Chelsea's returning striker, Romelu Lukaku, says coming back to the London club at this point in his career, is the “chance of a lifetime." He was formally re-introduced to the media as a Chelsea player on Monday.

Lukaku says he’s looking forward to returning to play for the team where he said he learned "the basics". He says at 28, he’s a totally different player, having become a father since he was last with the club:

“As a person, you have to dream, but you have to set yourself targets as well. And yeah, the opportunity came along, I think, at the right time, because the club wants to keep winning and it gave me an opportunity. And I think for me, the way how my career has been going the last few years, I think it was the chance of a lifetime. So, now it's time to put those words into practice on the pitch and keep on working and hopefully winning as well."

Chelsea will be hoping he’ll do some winning too. They paid a club-record of $135-million for a two-year contract, with the option of a third year, all going well on the pitch.
